Mortgage banking is becoming a thing of the past in Arizona. Arizona is the poster child of the U.S. real estate crash. It is the last place you want to go and try selling mortgages.

We have too many people selling mortgages out here. It seems like everyone does it either fulltime or part-time.

Sorry Richard but this is the worst time to even consider entering that business here. Having said that I bet you can sell your house in the UK and get a steal in Arizona - exhange rate has never been better. How would you get a work visa though?

UKman--wages suck in AZ. I'm sure you had a good time staying at a resort in the middle of February. But, think about 42C in October making 5 pounds per hour. That is the real Arizona.

hi there, are the wages that bad in Arizona, or do you just have to find the right job. In the U.K we do not get much sun, thats why ALL Brits love the sun, ok you may say within time we may get bored of it, but to me its not just about the weather, i love Arizona and the people are soooooo frendly, ok i'm sure there are bad parts of Arizona, but i would like to be able to sit outside in the evenings with a pint of beer cooking the BBQ, you guys are so lucky,
