Years ago I was in a McD in Dallas and after I finished eating walked out the back parking lot and onto a public side street. My apartment was maybe three blocks away. Anyway two police officers stopped me and asked what I was doing. I explained I was at McD and now on my way home. They asked for ID and I showed them my driver’s license but one of the officers for reasons unknown kept pushing me. Not physically but with a line of questioning which seemed designed to get me mad. He kept telling me there had been a lot of break-ins in the area and got right in my face while doing so. The other officer seemed uncomfortable with the way I was being questioned but said nothing. I explained again I was going home but was told to shut up which I did and the two left a little while later. I went home and filed a complaint (although I didn't have any badge number)

I don't what happened to this black youth but I'm blond, blue-eyed and as white as can be and if I can get hassled I guess anyone can.

If that is true, MCSO will have to explain arresting someone on an open container in vehicle charge, when they hadn't seen his vehicle yet. Their only basis for arresting him in the first place was "resisting arrest", which the defense attorney wouldn't even be discussing if it showed his client resisting in any way.

He's going to win a lot of money.
Interestingly, they dropped the open container charge and if they felt he was genuinely under the influence or driving while the under the influence, why didn't they test him. They detained him and then dropped all charges. Sorry but the MCSO doesn't drop all charges if there was something there. They had nothing and had no choice but to drop all charges.

Maybe the deputies were trying to get him to talk back so they could tase or beat him to death for "resisting". That is more along the lines of MCSO.
LOL, people who don't know you would think you were being tongue in cheek but you are being totally serious and I agree with you. As obnoxious and bullheaded as the MCSO is, the whole whites only remark doesn't sound like them, that does sound more like a southern thing than MCSO. I agree with you.

It does matter because if he was African then wouldn't he have to have a passport and such and be subject to 1070 status checking which forbids profiling?
I had neighbors who were from S.Africa and they all had to have resident visas.

Black isn't an accurate term either because they don't all possess the same shade of skin and they are not all "black". And no one said the suspect was "African" they said "African American" which is entirely different. I'm 4th generation American but I'm Mexican American. I'm not from Mexico but my culture and background originates from Mexico. I don't take offense to being called Mexican American and most people with an IQ over 100 can understand I'm not claiming I'm from Mexico.

I'm sorry, I guess I just figured that if born here you're simply an American, not some hyphenated something or other. My bad I guess.

County attorneys and city attorneys drop charges all the time.,,doesn't mean there wasn't PC for an arrest. More then half the domestic violence cases are dropped every day.

Right. Need much more info. but ufortunately a story like this is often difficult to confirm one way or the other.

I'm from Southern Cal and AZ is often the butt of jokes these days. However, I like the no-nonsense approach to crime in AZ and feel it is one of the reasons some like living here.

That's ok, AZ is often the butt of jokes to the people that live in AZ as well, but then so is most of CA! At least we don't have San Francisco or Berserkly (home of the Kremlin west offices) in our state.
You just can't make up the stories of stupidity that happen in those two places.
