As you can see from all my post talking about hair and hair places in one of my favorite subjects.
I want to also suggest the Karsten Salons. They also have a Karsten beauty school in Tempe if you really want a bargain. I never had a bad haircut at Karsten I just don't like paying the money and the schools get booked up fast.

I'm always nervous to try someone new. Haven't gotten a cut since I left MN, but need to get around to that now. My previous stylist was amazing and with tips included I paid about $45 for cut and style.

"Haircutters In The Park" in Litchfield Park is good.

Sheena,
Then we'll be in good company as I'm a hair nut too. Have you every tried Altered Ego in Tempe? They get great reviews. Also, I agree with you, Rolfs can be pricey but the cuts are superb in my book. I love their dry cutting technique. Has anyone been to Cosmos?

Try yelp.com for your area and reviews. I own a salon but won't recommend my stylists because that would be cheezy and too much like free advertising.

Thanks for your help and keep the referrals coming.

$109.00? Ouch! All that for somebody's idea of a perfectly coiffed look?
Call me crazy, but I'd rather go to a Barber College and get my mop snipped by some poor, starving, well-meaning student - than to get razed and ripped off by some snooty pay-me-big "stylist"!

Of course I could always get my 'do done for under $5 bucks by Bubba, who hangs out at Encanto Park...
