Is anyone getting furlough notices? Does anyone have any specifics on the affects of sequestration in The Valley?

I don't think DOD has too much of an idea yet what they're going to do and I also think they're banking on that someone will blink and do something to avert it.
Personally I don't see anyone blinking at this point but you never know.

Are you talking about Federal budget cuts as they relate to the valley government employees? I now the DMV office takes an extra day off a month, I believe this is why. I'm not very familiar with this those as I'm not a government employee. I know the post office will be effected.

I have seen estimates that 49,000 jobs would be lost in Arizona.

There is a lot of talk about this in the NoVa Forum: http://www.city-data.com/forum/north...-dmv-area.html I was hoping to find out about preparations in The Valley. Thanks, Ponderosa.
