Default DIY Garage places

I'm looking for them! Apartment complex doesn't appreciate people working on their cars in the parking spots, but I don't want to pay for a mechanic to work on my car. It's something I want to do myself so I can learn more about my car. Unfortunately I need a place I could borrow/rent to work on my car. I can't find a garage that would rent a stall for a day or so, probably insurance reasons. Apartment complex doesn't have garages for rent (hence why I'm moving when lease is up). My friends all live in a apartment so no driveway/garage there. It seems the only thing I could do is drive to some parking lot late at night and setup shop and work there. But that's probably illegal. Although I did hear a rumor Autozone would let you do this, but I don't believe it. Wasn't there a place in Glendale or Chandler that would rent out a stall for you? I visited their website awhile back but I can't find said website anymore.

Any help for a guy and a car that needs some TLC?

Interesting request, Some Random AZ Bum.

No clue on the rates but have you considered one of those large "garage type" storage lockers? A buddy of mine in California stores his 25 plus year old pick-up in one so I know they're big enough and they do have electricity.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the idea, unfortunately when I checked it out I saw it won't work. The ones I checked out online won't let you work on the car. They only allow storage of cars if gas has been drained and any other combustible fluids have been too, can't even store a can of gas there. Also the rates for a place that would allow my car to fit are $250+ a month

OUCH . . . I had no idea they were that expensive.

Sorry but that's the only idea in my head right now but I'll sleep on it!
