You can join the book camp meetup.com group which consists of people that get together with a trainer and do a "free" boot camp workout. Check it out. There are also groups for people who are new to Phoenix and want to meet friends to hang out with, etc. Since I am new to Phoenix, it has been awesome. I have gone out to dinner with a group of ladies, to the movies, to a Spanish language group, and I am going hiking tomorrow with a group. It is fun.

I do boot camp because it's fun and good for my mind and body. In fact, Turco Loco, most of the people who go to boot camp with me do it to supplement their other good habits, and maintain their good health - not the reasons you imagined.
I thougth boot camp was a short term, hard and fast workout routine but in your case it sounds more like an ordinary fitness class. So, what is the difference between that boot camp and the regular workouts at a local gym?

I still think moderation in exercise is the key but whatever suits your body/fitness schedule is your choice of course.

Default harder and more intense

It's a lot harder and more intense than you average fitness class.

I prefer a hard intense work out, boot camp is great for me b/c I can't force myself to work out that hard and it really forces me to work harder than I can on my own.

If you prefer moderation, than boot camp isn't for you. It's very intense.

I am new to this forum. I love to work out and I really love doing this boot camp thing. I am glad to see about so many that are around town. I have done one that was at the phoenix college. I loved it. Now that it is warming up I plan on going back soon. Have a great day
