I am 25 and was born and raised in the high desert in ca. I didn't like it too much in california growing up and when I graduated high school at 17 I made the move to Boston. I liked it there but it was too difficult being on my own so I only stayed one year and came back to cali, but to a new city.. after living in cali till I was 22 I moved to North Carolina with my fiance, he was in the air force at the time, and the cost of living was so low there that I was able to start going to school full time, something I never thought I would be able to do before and it was amazing I did so well academically for two years that when it was time to transfer to a four year college my fiance was out of the AF by then and we thought we were ready to make our move back to cali (hes from here too). We like arizona so we went back and fourth between cali and az and chose cali. So we made our move and have been here for one year, I'm attending cal poly pomona, but for some reason I am miserable.. academically I am not doing as well as before, I typically have to work a lot (as a phlebotomist at loma linda) because the cost of living is so high and my commute to school, when theres no traffic, is just under an hour, and school and work are in the opposite direction..I am considering withdrawing from my school and making the move to the phoenix area to transfer into ASU. We know we will end up there at some point no matter what because I want to become a doctor of osteopathic medicine and my two school choices are there.. is it worth it to make the move now and try to save my GPA while I still can? is my commute there ever going to take me 3 hours because of big rigs turned over by the santa anas? and do the professors at ASU care because here they dont give a crap.
Help please.
