It's been so long since I've been here. Anyway, I live in Mountain Park Ranch; moved here a little over two years ago, thanks to the help of this amazing and informative forum. I LOVE IT HERE!! We bought this house with the intent to close in the back, covered porch/patio. We don't want to actually add a new structure, just knock out the outside wall and enlarge the dining room by closing that covered area in. My question is; is it difficult to get the HOA's permission? And does it take a long time to get permission. Also, is it difficult and time consuming to get permission from the city? Thanks in advance for any responses...

I think only the HOA and the City can answer those questions.....right?

Annie7,

Nice to see you again! I'm not sure how many others here are familiar with that particular HOA. What do the CC and R's say about that kind of project?

What I might do is contact a remodeling contractor who is familiar with the area (isn't there one of those little free area newspapers that gets dropped in your driveway where people who work in the area can advertise?) and have them come out (they'll come out for free) and show them what you want to do and ask them. They will have been through the process both with the HOA and the city.
