I don't think I've ever had a power outage. Momentary interruption, maybe.

Lived here for 13 months (Peoria) never an outage, don't even recall an interruption.
Friends of ours in Tucson, never had outages either. Nothing more than a minute, and if it was out for a minute or less it wasn't often or enough to recall, they said.

AZ has plenty of extra electricity and storms are rarely severe enough to take down power lines so we rarely have problems with outages.

We lost power in Sun City yesterday for 5 hours and 15 minutes. I don't know how widespread the outage was.

I think you are confusing Arizona with California. Sacramento is home to summers day black outs. I don't know how many times the power would go out in California because the demand was so high. Oops let the cat out of the bag.
