Thinking of trailering the boat up there for a weekend via US 60 and 188. Question I have is, what is the climate like up there? The elevation is a bit higher than Phoenix, and it is nestled up against the mountains. Is it scorching 110 degree heat like the valley, or more like Payson and Prescott? Also, what are the water temps like? Thanks,
Reedus

It will be slightly cooler but not enough to make much of a difference. It's supposed to be 106 or higher this weekend so if it's a few degrees cooler, it won't make a whole lot of difference. Globe and some of those towns are fairly high in elevation but it drops down again to the lake. There isn't enough elevation difference at lake level to make a big difference in temperature although being on the water will be a cooling experience.
Roosevelt is pretty low right now so call and make sure the boat ramps are in good shape before you make the drive.
