Since there was a 100 degree day prediction, and we are wll into all that now, let's do a 110 degree predictions day. Also, you can guess how many consecutive days it will be over 110 this summer!! (Don't need dates just number of days for that) -- This is an PHX heat wave LOL

I am guessing Sunday won't reach 110 and it will end up being in the end of June/maybe July. So I'd say first day June 24th As for the heat wave, I think 4 days this year

Guess now!! Maybe Sunday?

I recall first week of June last year we had some 112's. Looks like sunday will kick it off for this year. I don't know. We will have 21 days with high temps at Sky Harbor above 110 this summer. As far as "consecutive days" go, I believe we broke that record last August with 8 straight days.

I was about to say, there was a day over 110 not long ago!
I'm really hoping the dry heat out there is better than this nasty humidity over in PA...

Oh, I love these threads!

Well, yes, there was already a day over 110 on Friday, so I'll vote Friday June 7th, lol. But lets see, my guess for consecutive days over 110 will be next week. Next Monday it's forecasted to be 110 , Tuesday 111, Wednesday 112, Thursday 112 and so on. One forecasted 117 so I think we are having a June that resembles July. IMO, that's why I predicted an early monsoon. Everything weather related seems to have moved up a month this year,IMO.

Fun post!

Wow, I guess June is the month for breaking records. Thanks for posting this. I always feel July is the hottest month, maybe it's because it's in the middle of summer and I notice the heat more because June seems to actually hold the hottest temps. Learn something new everyday.

Jonny

I grew up in New England and my father went to school in Miami

I would say that the heat her is different. Yes the east is humid but there is more rain and my dad says Miami gets those daily showers sometimes in the summer. Also, the sun is definitely stronger and more intense here than at home. That plus the dryness and the lack of clouds makes it worse

It's all a preference though :P Depends where you grow up and are used to I guess
