I've only dealt with them once, representing a buyer client in Tucson. My colleagues informed me at that time that they were a good builder and easy to work with. My experience working with them was positive.

I have not heard any negative comments about the company.

I did their Technology upgrades for almost 2 years. They have a really nice design center in North Scottsdale, probably the best in the industry but the upgrades are VERY VERY expensive.

You can get a better built house with other builders, some of the work Richmond does isn't the greatest in quality. Their prices are usually good though and they have a ton of incentives. If you want a 5,000 SF house for under 600k it is possible with them.
