Does anyone remember these tags at the Chevrolet Dealers used car lots? I remember looking at a Chevrolet dealer near downtown. I just can't remember the name right now. All the cars I could afford, in those days, were one tiny step from the junkyard. I never bought one of the "OK Used Cars". They also had large lighted pole signs displaying the "OK USED CARS" logo too.

It must have been well received because some bicycle shops developed a "OK Used Bicycle" tag as well. I have some of those too if anyone wants a pic.

Yes, looks like the home is just about one mile south of a canal, right where the mountain terrain begins.

I was there man! Canned Heat opened up the show. Alice did the head chop gag -had the boa constrictor and everything.
Remember the pouring rainstorm that started 2 minutes after Alice left the stage? And the car on fire in the desert parking lot, during the deluge? Read in the paper the next morning that some a-holes came in the middle of the night and broke into some trucks and stole all of Canned Heats gear. What a great show and memory.

His name was Gordon . Mr Gordon. Gordons Hobby Lobby. We called him greedy Gordon. His prices were high but he had the best selection of everything -bar none. Models kits and slot cars? Fergitaboutit!

Scout Pueblo. I stayed there many times, always on the lookout for tarantulas, that was the myth. We stayed in the building in the center; one night we were attacked by the nuts in the building on the right; they smashed windows and threw rocks, most of them ending up in the swimming pool. They were severely punished the next day.

When I was a child I would visit a friends house whose address was on Baseline just east of the Watanabe flower gardens at the orange groves. Her backyard was bordered by the canal but we were never allowed to cross over the canal. Isn't that where Guadalupe is? We were told that the Yaqui lived back there. This was early to mid-60's.
