Can anyone tell me what kind of restaurants and grocery stores, etc. that are in Phoenix (I guess I could look online but I like talking to you guys better)? Do you have the usual McDonald's, Wendy's, Arby's, blah, blah?

Yeah Phx has all the chains, but we do have In N Out burger as well.

AJ's Fine Foods I like for bakery items and popping in for lunch. You wouldn't want to do a big shop there $$$.

Trader Joes
Sprouts
Whole Foods
Frys
Safeway
Albertsons
Costco
Sams
Walmart

What am I forgetting?

Mexican restarants up the wazoo I can't help you with the good ones because I don't eat Mexican Food. I'm sure others will chime in.

Yes, there are McDonald's, Wendy's and Arby's. Phoenix isn't a third world country

Phoenix has many more national chain restaurants than we do up here in the Pacific Northwest....

There are far too many to list. What others are you interested in?

Hehe, I didnt mean to imply that it was a third world country, I only meant that those restaurants I listed were boring to me. I was hoping that there was something more scintillating (did I spell that right?) to my taste buds.

I used a smily face to show I was kidding with the third world country comment.

Phoenix has local restaurants as well as chains. What kind of food are you interested in?

My favorite Mexican food is at Rosita's in Tempe and Mesa.
Also Carlos O'Brien's and Valle Luna.

I've never cared for Macayo's, Garcia's or Aunt Chillada's though they are popular.

I'm very fond of Chipolte and Rubio's for fast Mex.

Sorry - couldn't resist

And, about the "third world country" comment - there are many restaurants in the area where you DO feel like you're in a third world country I know I'll catch smack for that one

I think the Phoenix area has a decent selection of restaurants, though obviously not as many as some other big cities. There was a thread recently where people posted their favorite mexican restaurants. You might find it if you search for "mexican restaurants."
