I received an anonymous tip that it's a ground squirrel. I've never seen a wild mammal in these parts but we have all sorts of lizards, birds and creepy crawly things. Who knows?

I was hoping someone had seen something similar and that it could be obviously identified. I then realized it's just a couple holes in the ground! I'll probably just throw some rocks to fill them in and hope that whatever critter owns it moves on. If I figure it out I'll report back. Unless it is the devil.

pretty sure those are made by jackrabbits.. got lots of those holes & lots of bunnies in my neighborhood..

I've had gophers, in fact lots of them and those holes do not look like gopher holes.

Default We have a couple of similar holes...

Our landscaper said they were from a Kangaroo Rat and suggested a baited live-trap.
