So, I know everyone is talking about it around the water cooler etc. - but WOW - what an AMAZINGLY mild winter so far!

We had that one little spat of cold in November, but since then - awesome! And nothing on the horizon to change it. My plants are all confused though - starting to bloom again etc.... and the doves are all trying to nest and mate already....

But I ll take it!! I know we still could get a cold spell - but the closer we get to Feb the less likely it is...and even then if we do get one they usually don't last that long by then or get super cold that late..

Lets hope!! After last winter I m glad for the change!

This is my first winter in Arizona and I gotta agree. It's chilly in the AM but compared to the arctic cold my old hometown has been dealing with, I'll take it!

Only downside is all of the dust and haze out this winter. I've been out of commission for two weeks now with a sinus infection. It's killing me, this is the prime time of the year to go hiking, climbing and trail running. Would do anything for a breezy day or a little rain to clear the air.

It has been a great winter, so far. We could use more rain though. Dry and warmer winters make me worry about forest fires in summer. Even up here in the Verde Valley it's been pretty nice. If I go to work at 7 AM I wear a jacket but later in the morning I don't. Driving home this afternoon I had the drivers side window all the way down! Felt great. When I realized I'm driving with my window down in the middle of January it did make me laugh a little.

Nothing is blooming up here and I don't expect it to. However it isn't getting cold enough to make my perennial flowers and apple trees do well this spring and summer either. They all need cold weather to be prolific later. I'm sure we'll get more before it's over but, like you, I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts!

I have a lot of online friends spread out across the country and the ones in the Northeast, Midwest, Canada and even in the south...except for Florida...are singing the winter time blues. I feel so sorry for them and I do NOT talk about MY weather! lol No sense making them feel worse than they do. I've lived in places that get pretty darn cold and snowy so I can sympathize while still being happy that I live here!

This winter so far has been a blessing. Hopefully this summer I can say that "we are having a nice cool summer so far". I have a feeling this won't happen but I am definately enjoying this winter. One of the better ones that I can remember.

Awww, c'mon....that's no fun!

I endlessly harass/dig in to family/friends who live in the colder weather areas....I just can't resist!

Well, at least I still think they are my friends....family have no choice but to tolerate me, at least to some degree.

Well, I will have to be the debbie downer. The last thing we needed was another bone dry winter.
