Finger Laker,

Are you sure you go to Estrella Animal Hospital and not Goodyear Animal Hospital? Goodyear Animal Hospital is the one off of Estrella Pkwy and Van Buren. Estrella Animal Hospital is up on Indian School Road I believe.

We've been using Aqua Fria Animal Hospital and are considering switching the Goodyear Animal Hospital as we've heard good things about them.

Grooming we go to The Doggie Door off Litchfield Rd and Van Buren.

Kenneling we go to Camp Bow Wow in Avondale off Van Buren.

Have you been into that Scruffs Dog Food Company on Indian School Rd? Neat place with a huge selection. We support Petz Place because they are so close and a nice bunch of folks but Scruffs is a good choice for harder to find stuff.

Whoops .... you sir are correct

Goodyear Animal Hospital it is .... seems like I would know this driving by it at least twice a day and going in at least once amonth..................

I haven't been to Scruffs - just looked them up and they sound interesting

Our dog gets pancreatitis flare ups, so we recently switched to the vet food ..... this has limited our interaction with the local pet stores

I also like Camp Bow Wow .... really nice staff over there

For grooming I typically just use petsmart for nails - Boxers can be high maintenance in a lot of areas, but grooming is pretty easy

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll try the Goodyear Animal Hospital. Glad for the kennel recommendation and pet store recommendations too. I'll look them up when I get there. I'm keeping a list of places to look up once I've moved to Goodyear.

I don't know if it is Goodyear or Surprise or maybe just county, but I just love the look and feel of those neighborhoods.
Maybe Sedella?

Yes, I think that is one of them. I would not have known there was anything out that way unless I had not been detoured so much for the 303. I looked on the web and prices are in the mid 300s there mostly.

The mid-300's seems expensive to me considering what you can get in Estrella Mountain. It's really pretty in Estrella Mountain. I hope to, in the next couple of years, build there.

I have a friend that might be buying there. It looks like one of the section of Sedella starts at $235,990 and goes up to $306,990 (for 3,785 sq ft). Of course, with reasonable upgrades they seem to be mid-$200,000 and up into the $300,000s.

I do really like Estrella, but it's a bit far for some people. I really like the lake at Estrella, but I almost think I prefer Verrado. For whatever reason, we seem to dine quite a bit at the Verrado Grille and Grazie pizza. I think if I had to choose, I would have a hard time. Also, really like the retirement community at Estrella.

I'll be 50 next year. Maybe that's too young to like retirement communities but I'm not fond of them, yet. I'm still wanting to blare my music loud or have a BBQ party in my backyard which gets a bit loud. I'm sure that as I get older, I'll become more quiet LOL! Estrella is really pretty though.
