Active weather should be embraced and I am an admitted weekend storm chaser this time of year when I am not up north cooling off as I am this weekend. Don't have to "chase" up in the Valle/Williams area this time of year.
I agree. A good rain in any city cleans up the air really nice. I am hoping the fireworks don't clog up the air and I can see all of my mountains in the morning.

Great weather for the fourth!! Tonight with a slight breeze it was very doable for me. It was a nice overcast day, a bit humid but I do agree a welcome change. Let's hope for more to come.....
And yes, I just cleaned up my yard, do I dare wash the cars??????
That is the question....

The weather forecast is usually just a guess until monsoon is over. lol I love watching how excited our little weather guys and gals get though. Standing out in the middle of a dust storm, acting like a category 4 hurricane just landed on the valley, searching for downed trees and puddles.

I saw that on the news!! I'm so jealous, still nothing much where I'm at.
I just got in and it looks like we might get some more action tonight, but it's been so mild and cloudy I doubt it will be a banger of a storm. Just some rain.

Yes, there is humidity but being a NYer until the last few years, I am used to it. 85 degrees with 90% humidity on the east coast still feels worse than the 95 with 60% today here in the East Valley. I don't know, I like a little active weather to mix up what amounts to 7-8 months of no rain during the spring/early summer and fall. I promise you 365 days of sunshine year after year would get redundant for anyone. I welcome this weather !
Sorry to get technical but if you look on a heat index chart 85 degrees with 90% humidity feels like 101 while 95 with 60% humidity feels like 113.

Please, let's not turn this into a dry heat vs humidity thread......let's stick to storm info and monsoon questions. There is another thread you can take this over too running right now plus, a search area. Thanks.

It officially began on June 15 as they all do. It's arbitrary. Old timers and purists will say July 3 as that was the 3-55 day. That too is arbitrary. For me, it begins when it rains more than a trace in my backyard. That was last weekend. It ends when I get up in the morning and go outside, find it cool and dry, and proclaim "thank God, it's over".
