Rabrrita ("Jefferson on the south, 17th Avenue on the east, an 18th Avenue on the west):

That would be 17th St on the east. Streets west of Central are Ave, streets to east are Streets - helps when you don't have a sense of direction when trying to find something.

About 10 years ago I had no choice but to rent a motel room on E Van Buren. My favorite remark when someone at work asked me how it went I said, "I was there 2 weeks and no one asked me my price." (I was 60 yo then, long time since I was a 'fox')

With all the skid row areas people are mentioning it is clear that wherever you live in the Valley you are rarely far away from a trashy area. Like Home Depots and Walmarts, they are everywhere.

The intention was an area bounded by 17th Avenue on the east, and 18th Avenue on the west. It was a joke, describing the location of the Arizona State Capitol.
