I was stung by a bee at the waterpark a few weeks ago. I was floating in the lazy river minding my own business and felt something on my leg and went to brush it off, and was stung. Hurt like mad! Then itched. Got some ointment from first aid and they said "Were you in the lazy river?" Must be a known nest around there.

I had a house a few years back and I was stung by a Yellow Jacket and went in the house since I didn't feel quite right. As I went in everything began to get dark so I went down and laid on the carpet and every time I started to get up things got black again.
Well I recovered and things went well until I went outside and put on an old straw hat that I used for shade when working in the sun. Well, I felt a picking at my head that wasn't normal and wham! Something happened that wasn't right and I knew I was stung again by another Yellow Jacket. Did I take that hat off? You bet! I went inside the house and felt odd again and by that time a Doctor had prescribed an anaphylactic sting kit. I again felt darkness closing in and laid down on the floor, the wife took my blood pressure and it was 60/40-I was in anaphylactic shock and every time I raise up thing s would get black. I had the wife get the sting kit and I injected my thigh and by that time she had called EMS and they came and took me to a hospital ER.
The thing I'm trying to get across is that even if you have been stung before and there was no adverse after effects, you can be stung and go into anaphylactic shock and die if you don't have medical care of some sort THEN. CPR won't help, as a matter of fact, a young man in Jones was stung, went into shock and died quickly that happened a couple a couple of years ago. So, be careful out there, it's a dangerous place sometimes.
