Maybe they aren't so absurd. Frankly, if someone dies in the custody of Joe, I want them to file a suit. Someone has to hold this sadist in check; the public certainly isn't.

Well... if "they" are dead, it might be a little tough for "them" to file a suit. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

No one has ever died, or at least I know of, in the custody of any of the MCCS jails, without a reason. If deputies were forced to use force on an inmate, it's usually because he posed a danger to deputies and others.

The way I see it, if they don't like the jails that are run by Sheriff Arpaio, then they should not break the law, plain and simple.

There is Always a reason when someone dies in anothers care.
If they are put into a restraint chair they are NOT posing any danger to anyone.

I do not find the humor in the beginning of your post about "it being hard for THEM to file a lawsuit if they are dead"
If you or yours were accused of a crime and had to go into custody until you were either bailed out or had a hearing and YOU died, your family wouldn't find it funny.

People should not break the law, however some do.
Are you suggesting that its ok if they die ?

No I never suggested that it's okay for inmates to die, and it's never okay for anyone in the law enforcement community to take the law into their own hands and be the judges and executioners, and if somebody breaks the law, they should expect to be sent to jail or prison to serve their sentence, not a 5-star hotel.

Some more Joe for you guys!! And what gives Joe the right to demand anything from Judges? He is not the Supreme Commander of the County.

Also, should the Sheriff be in the news every day for issues of not doing his job? Or is it a case of, The Media has turned on him.

E-mails sought in jail-visit battle

Just hours after receiving an unfavorable ruling in Maricopa County Superior Court, the county Sheriff's Office demanded to see correspondence among the court's top judge and key court administrators.

On the flip, if a Jail Guard is found to be in the wrong then he should be held accountable. Well, Have they? I mean juries have awarded large sums...someone was liable for some deaths! What happened to the guards?

I will have to research this. I can take an educated guess that
1. Nothing 2. They were the scapegoat for Joe, because in Joe's eyes everyone minus his wife is a peon.

I don't know what kind of 5-star hotel YOU are staying in, but if it's ANYTHING like ANY prison in the US, you are wayyyyyyyyyy overpaying for your hotel room.

LOL

The audacity of this guy never fails to amaze me.
I hope that the Sheriff continues to make a fool of himself and the media continues to report it correctly, then hopefully, more of the public will see his true colors.
