If it were up to me, Id get a set of snake tongs and a garbage can, capture the snake, and release it myself elsewhere.
We had a baby one in the garage years ago and caught it in a pail, took it to the desert and let it go. The scariest part was the release. Not sure what the best technique for that it. We live right on a desert preserve and that is the only one I have seen here in nearly twenty years. We see a lot more scorpions and bobcats.

The guy who caught mine had a 5 gallon bucket with holes in the lid. When I used to release squirrels I caught in the backyard I'd put the cage hanging off the back of the van so when the cage door opens they fall out to the ground without much chance of them coming back at you.

Not sure if you have snake tongs or not, but theyre a great thing to have. Simply grab the snake mid-body and put em in the bucket, and use the tongs to put the lid on. When releasing snakes, I usually just tip the bucket over lightly, and use a snake hook/tongs to take them back out, as sometimes theyre a bit reluctant to leave the bucket on their own.

*I would recommend tongs over a hook for someone who doesnt normally deal with snakes*
