In todays Parade Magazine that is included in the AZ Republic, Glendale is ranked #1 for the 10 Best Spots for Antiquing. I know it's good, but that kind of surprised me. They are ranked as follows:

1. Glendale, AZ
2. Pealuma, CA
3. Conyers to Greensboro, GA
4. Lancaster PA
6. Essex, Mass
7. Harbor Country, Mich
8. Kansas City, Mo
9 Fredericksburg, TX
10 Centralia, Wash

Glendale Arizona or Glendale California. All the other cities have a state listed.

Where are all the antique stores there? I have only seen a couple on the main road. Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing I've seen a couple in the downtown area but it's not like they're abundant throughout the city. They must be hiding I guess.

There are several in old town. I especially enjoy the tiny bungalows converted to shops on Caitlin Court!

I'm not sure I'd trust Parade as an arbiter on antiques.

Only hit antique stores a few times a year, so I'm no expert. But Lancaster PA and the area around it is by far a much better area to find antiques. It's the area that people from around the country will go to in order to stock up on antiques to resell. Had a friend in college who's dad owned an antique store in the midwest, they would drive to Lancaster a few times a year to hit the stores and flea markets, then drive everything 1000 miles back to their store. Some of my best antique finds were when I lived in PA for a couple of years.

The Glendale area is okay, but I wouldn't call it a great area for antiquing. I usually find better items going to the Brass Armadillo or the shops on Seventh Avenue.

There's only about 3 left in Glendale out of approximately 6 before. The Brass Armadillo in Phoenix and the Brass Armadillo in Goodyear have more dealers combined than any other places in the Metro area.
