I've lived in several other cities before, and I have to say this town has the WORST FM music I've ever heard.

Being in my 50s, I enjoy adult alternative rock music. Nothing on the dial in this big metro area for that type of music except a small little station (103.1) that is weak and is sometimes on/sometimes off.

Could you elaborate on what "adult alternative" means to you? I did a Google search and found the top 10 that Billboard thinks is in that genre and came up with a mixed bag that included U2, Black Keys, Lorde and a bunch of stuff that I wasn't familiar with. Is that an accurate grouping of what you are wanting to hear?

I've lived in several cities as well and I'd rate Phoenix radio as "par for the course". FM is a few steps away from AM in cultural relevance.

I dont mind 95.5, its a good mix of everything. Now that KDKB is gone, thats the only station I find suitable down here.

OP, don't you find that radio stations are for the most part very alike all over the country? I've grown to hate them much more since the FCC saw fit to allow corporations to own as many stations in a market as they want. They have all become clones of one another city to city, owned by these huge corporations. The days of the independent owner are about over. The best station in the closet large city I live around is the community college station. That gives you some idea of the crap there is in your average city.

If I were you I would download a bunch of tunes you like from Spotify or other application and go with that instead. No commercials, no obnoxious morning chatter with all too little music, just the tunes you want to hear.

Or maybe this would work for you. It's a way to stream Spotify to your phone.
