Do you guys use two down comforters and extra thick flannel pjs?

Then again I like to sleep in the winter like I do in the summer, same bed cover and just a t-shirt, nothing else (TMI? ).

I have a sheet and a very light quilt regardless of the season. A tank top and undies. Ceiling fan and box fan blowing directly on me. And I am usually too warm to sleep. Last night was great!

No. That is the only time I like it cold! LOL Even in Iowa when the wind chill was -25 I was still hot when I slept. I would never have any use for flannel sheets!

I'm not sure if this is the case for others but artificial heat to me feels very stuffy, even at settings in the high 60's. In the 70's? Forget it. Set in the 70's, I feel like I'm at my grandparents house for the holidays with everyone passing out on the couch (and probably other reasons for that). It's funny how 70's outside can feel so different than 70's created by artificial heat.

Coming from a part of the country where the majority of homes have gas heat (as opposed to here where electric seems more common), I can say I don't care for electric heat. I dread turning it on. There is a definite difference.

I hate electric stoves, too, FWIW LOL

What'd the difference? Our heat is gas, but it still blows thru the same vents as the electric A/C does. Maybe you meant forced air heat vs radiated?

I for one, welcome this cold spell. Especially with our never-ending summers.

It feels different. Gas heat is warmer and just feels better. Electric heat is not nearly ass efficient, is more drying, more static electricty, etc. Also, when electric heat shuts off, it is cold almost immediately, where gas heat seems to hold better in the corners, etc. Can't explain it unless you have experienced them both back to back.

My windows were open all night until around midnight when I went to bed. They would have been open longer but I have no screens. Bugs, critters and people would be free to enter once asleep. It was chilly yesterday. Dropped by the grocery store in shorts and sandals around 8pm. Thankfully, there was a flannel shirt in my backseat.
