I work very close to Mayo and have lived in Anthem for 9 months. I'd say about 30 minutes taking 17 to 101. I'll time it this morning and let you know.

Took me 43 minutes. Traffic has been worse lately, maybe it is those snow birds I keep hearing about. Still, it took me longer to go half the distance when I lived outside of Atlanta. I don't mind it at all. Will try some alternate routes though to see if that saves me any time.

I'm in Anthem and have commuted to that area for years. Off hours/no traffic 25 minutes, normal rush hour traffic 35-40 minutes. Become familiar with alternates like Mayo to Tatum to Deer Vally to 17 etc. The 51/101 interchange is a major back up and if there's an accident with a couple lanes closed better bail from the 101. I have lived in Anthem and N Peoria, not too far from Arrowhead. IMHO, the sooner you get off the 101 during rush hour the better. In rush hour, 17 N from the 101 never has traffic. 101 always does. And yes traffic is always worse when the snow birds are in town .
