The GC is in the far northern parts of the state, which are usually colder than most areas of PA (especially at night). Just do like you do back in PA, dress for it and youll be fine. If you want to be warm, head to PHX or Yuma, which are usually the warmest spots of the state in winter.

The Grand Canyon is located in one of the coldest parts of the state, 39 degrees is not bad for this time of year. If you are lucky there might be snow, snow in the canyon is beautiful. It will be cold but you won't have to deal with the large summer crowds. I think that it would be worth it, but if you want warm weather, you will have to find some things to do farther south.

Geography reality check! The South and North Rims of the Grand Canyon are at high elevation. If you're at the Grand Canyon and you think it's too cold, just hike down to the bottom-- it will probably be a good 20 degrees warmer at the bottom!

LOL . . . The Canyon is WAY UP THERE, tparkertom. In fact, above 7k feet in most areas which spells SUPER COLD this time of year.

For a fantastic trip with very little "exposure" . . . consider this trip.

GRAND CANYON RAILWAY | Grand Canyon National Park train | Grand Canyon Railroad

Good Luck
