There will be a short period of sweater and boot weather. Rain gear too. You will be in warm weather clothes most of the year. Sunglasses are a year round must.

I kept all of my sweaters and boots that are not snow boots. I have worn them all here. Lined/too warm boots or those made for snow, I didn't even bring.

If you travel anywhere to a higher elevation you will need warmer clothes so it's good to have 1 set at least. Temperature drops with elevation here.

Years ago some people from up north were visiting Scottsdale and came up to meet me in Sedona for lunch in Jan. wearing summer clothes and flimsy sandals. I was wearing small boots and gloves with a warmish coat! They were freezing.

^^ This, definitely.

I tend to be a warm-body, so the winter doesn't bug me much here. However, I don't have a single sweater.

I'll wear a windbreaker during the day in the winter, and a windproof jacket for evenings to beat the breeze. (Either a Land's End Squall jacket or a leather jacket.) I tend to wear jeans from mid-November to mid-Februrary, and shorts the rest of the year.

My wife is more sensitive to temperatures, but she puts away her sweaters about when I switch to shorts, and pulls 'em out again when I switch to long pants.

When we go up to Sedona or Flagstaff between spring and fall, we always bring jackets in case it gets chilly. However, we very seldom go up there in the winter.
