Like I said, you will have to get the new AZ license if you plan to fly or enter federal buildings. Or you could use your passport if you want the old Az license.

They expire but not until you're 65 I think. Drivers licenses and vehicle registration are two different things.

Enhanced drivers license will do more than just let you fly... you can travel to Canada and Mexico with it as well. In my opinion it's worth getting one. I bet you it will be a free process too.

My license expires in 2034. Of course they do...

Okay so quick note based on some of the answers

I am 19. No I have not registered a car yet. My parents registered my car and that is the reason I go to California for 4 months a year- I have work lined up in my hometown.

It is worth getting one. My point is that Arizona should have followed federal guidelines from the start. Now they have two ID's and only one is officially recognized by the federal government.

Lacy,

Being 19 is awesome... as long as you don't need a Car Insurance policy. You will get "raped" in every state even with a perfect driving record. I'd say keep whatever you have at the moment and you will save tons in the long run...

Arizona licenses do expire. Usually on your 65th birthday. Check out Arizona DMV website for more answers:

It does expire when you turn 65, but its close to it.
