Have tried Vincents and Durants. Would like to check out Bourbon Steak in Fairmont. Any other steak house recommendations for wifes bday?

We were underwhelmed by Bourbon Steak. Mastros and Donovans are better. Shoot, Flemmings is better.

Not a steak house, but have you tried Kai? Pretty fantastic.

A real steakhouse should have dry-aged Prime beef. I don't know if that exists here. Either way, I've had great meals at Bourbon Steak and BLT Steak. A terrible meal at Fleming's recently.

Don Shula's was the best steak I have ever had, but it was kind of pricey.

For just a weekend dining trip I have been going to JC's Steakhouse. It is a nice little family run business and it was pretty good.

You can get it at Don Shula's, similar pricing to BLT steak, but a little better

I just checked after your post actually. The menu on their site mentions Angus beef which is a dead giveaway that it's not Prime (although there is Angus-branded Prime).

I know it's a chain, but Ruth Chris has the best prepared steaks I've had in the valley.

Bourbon Steak has a great happy hour, they have duck fat fries!
Outdoor seating is very private w/great music.

My backyard Seriously though, for the prices Ive paid at many of the steakhouses around the valley ive been quite underwhelmed. Steaks have almost always been overcooked in my opinion and the portions were small for the price. Pinnacle Peak Patio is good but they recently closed or are closing soon IIRC.
