Yes they do have warning signs. AZ law requires them on roads where the speed limit is above 40 mph.

Even better advice would be LEARN WHAT YOUR RIGHTS ARE ! And then you will know how to fight these illegal tickets > check out the many site RE: Red light tickets.

Actually, DPS uses Ford Escapes. AND, they do put signs out - 2 yellow triangular warning signs.

The flashing of the cameras, seems to cause more problems than anything. I've seen people slam on thier brakes, move over a full lane, all because of a flash. The people of Az need this like we need 75 cents to put air in our tires.. Maybe they will put some more High Fructose Corn Syrup on it, and make it better!

Just my opinion.
I do have some questions... I have been to Phoenix a few times and have always taken the 51. I was there for the Fiesta Bowl and just received a ticket. I do not ever recall seeing a 55 sign. Also the site says it takes 7 days to process and send out a ticket, yet I received today 2/26, that is at least 50 days. I feel powerless because A) I do not ever recall seeing a speed change from 65 and do not live in the area to know if speed limits on 51 do indeed fluctuate.

Just wondering what my rights are here? As for as my responsibilities, I had my cruise set on my rental car, as soon as I got on the 51 from 101. This is my first traffic violation in almost 20 years.. so yes I am a responsible driver.

Any help would be great.

that's also part of problem...If you lived in phx areas, you'd kinda know where these cameras are but if you are from out of town, GUARANTEED to get on in the mail!

I am from out of state. On this thread i read that points are not assessed for simple speeding 11mph over speed limit. I called the Scottsdale Muni court (on work phone, not giving my name) and they told me points are assessed. What am I missing?

The 51 has always been 55 south of the curve around Sqaw Peak.
