Default Moving to Queen Creek

My family and I are moving to Queen Creek in about a month. We have been there a few times and we love the area. We keep hearing about the traffic out of Queen Creek during rush hour. I will have to commute to different areas because of driving to jobsites. If anyone could send me a link to pictures of the area and of traffic it would be greatly appreciated.

Default Link to Queen Creek

Hello kapman,

Here is a link to the Town of Queen Creek web site:
Queen Creek : Home

Commute traffic into and out of Queen Creek going down Hunt Highway toward Johnson Ranch is not good. The roads just haven't kept up with the housing growth. If you can commute early or later than commute hour it won't be so bad.

Of course there are areas of QC where you don't need to take Hunt, and the commute is better.

The price of homes in QC is very low because of the over building and the number of homes on the market. So you can get a lot of house for the money. However, you wouldn't want to have to sell within the next couple of years because of the market uncertainty.

There are also a lot of good deals in Gilbert, and in southeast Mesa, south of the highway 60, that may be much better for commuting, depending on where you're commuting to each day.

If you can get located fairly near the 202 south loop, or highway 60 then you'll have a much better commute, no matter which way you have to go to a job site.

Just as an example, from Johnson Ranch in QC to Phoenix during rush hour could be close to one and one half hours. From Power Ranch in southeast Gilbert it may be 30 minutes less. Don't tie me to those numbers. It's a ball park guess because I don't drive those routes during rush hours. If you need more pictures or information about the area I can look up more for you.
