Hi, we are moving to Peoria in the end of the month, and are currently choosing between two houses to rent. One is in Fletcher Heights, the other one is in Camino a Lago (close to the new elementary school and the park).

There are pros and cons to each house, but we are most concerned that since Camino a Laago is a relatively newer development and is close to some desert area, the desert critters may be a significant problem there, and a much less significant at Fletcher Heights. Any advice from people who know the area(s).

Thnkas.

OK, you probably wont listen but here is what you do. Forget about the "desert critters". After you have been here a while you will realize just how ridiculous that concern is to people who actually live here. Pick your place on which you like better and the the tangibles for you and not some groundless fear of scorpions or coyotes or gila monsters or whatever is keeping you awake at night. You can't manage or reliably predict that and you really don't have to anyway.

It's the desert, there are critters everywhere and millions of us coexist without issue. It is mostly a "newbie" problem. Get the home you want and don't worry about the critters as they are the least of your worries.

Things to concern yourself with...

Job
Traffic
Commute
Schools
Close to things you like to do
Etc.
