We are loving it here so far. I could do with a little less heat, but it's manageable.
Creosote isn't fully responsible for the smell, there needs to be those bushes in the vicinity for them to really make an impact. Other (foul) smells come from the dust, bacteria, etc on the ground that aren't disturbed until the rain stirs them up.

[quote=Bungle;40241765]August will be 20 years for me. Still love it...I enjoy this time of year. The heat is manageable and as someone else eluded to...the worst thing about the heat is the constant complaining about it.[/QUOTE[/b]

This April was 25 years for me, and I still like Arizona. Though summer is not my favorite season here, it really doesn't alter my lifestyle except to have the A/C on.

Half-way through 2015 already--before long, another summer will be behind us and folks will be talking about the holidays.

[Hmmm, not sure why the quote came out looking like that.]

Felt really nice out today! Noticeably cooler than last week. And people are starting to complain about the so called "humidity"... folks, this is not even close to humid. Travel to the Gulf Coast, they'll tell you all about humidity in the summer. If this is the worst Arizona has to offer...

Funny how 5° is noticeably cooler but yes it is! This humidity is NOTHING compared to Iowa in summer. But they are experiencing an unusually cool summer so far. I don't miss it! We used to run the A/C when it was 80° just to get rid of the humidity.

After a pretty auspicious beginning it appears that the monsoon is about to fizzle. Since the greater part of the valley has yet to receive any meaningful rain, this means a late start for most - if it comes back at all.

Well going from 90s and 100s with MAX humidity at like 9% to now low 100s and max humidity at maybe 30% and even higher in the morning does feel humid. It's just humid for AZ this time compared to the rest of the year. It's a difference that is quite noticeable. I think you have to live here for a while to get it. You forget the REAL humidity of Florida or the south and midwest and get used to dryness and all of a sudden it goes a little higher and it hits you. Just some moisture. But it passes

I agree. People who have lived here a while get extremely sensitive (notice) to any humidity in the air. If it goes up to 30%, you walk outside and it's like "dang, it's muggy today!".

Im so sensitive to humidity now that I can feel it when Im even near Lake Pleasant. When we're out on the boat, you can feel it. hahaha

Yesterday evening was humid indeed. It was 56% and 90 degrees, which was the same humidity that Chicago was at, but they were sitting at 75 degrees.
