I have to drive from 101/Shea to US60/Power Rd soon on a weekday afternoon (be in East Mesa at 5:30pm). How long should this drive take? Is 101 south to eastbound US60 all the way to Power Rd the fastest vs taking 202?

You are 100% correct.

I don't have a lot of experience with that particular trip, but I think I would favor the 202 over going down to the 60. The 60 always seems crowded (as does the 101 from the 202 Red Mountain down to the 60)

The 202 is a lot windier and therefore probably adds a few miles on to your trip, but yeah the 60 is much more prone to delays.

How is there more wind on the 202 than any other freeway?

I would think the 202 would be a good reliever route to the 60 which is always bumper to bumper.

How can it "add miles" due to wind? The wind doesn't make the road longer. And, I've never noticed more wind in that area than a few miles further south.

Let's all sing!

The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before
It always leads me here
Lead me to your door

Winding - y'know, like meandering.
