I want to get a nice old cargo van and convert it into a light duty camper. Basically line the interior walls with wood paneling, and carpet throughout. I know, I should have been born about 15 years earlier when vannin' was the rage! Anyway, we don't really have the extra space at my mom's house in Sun City. It would either be in the way on the driveway, or hogging the garage.

I'm wondering if I could park such a vehicle at the Sun City RV compound? The rules say the RV must have holding tanks, a sewer connection, and shorepower. These things could possibly be added to my "DIY Camper". Heck, the shore-power would be nothing more than an extension cord right?

You might be thinking, "well why not just get a real RV?" Well, I don't need all the amenities of an RV. I just want something that's good for a night or two. But the main reason is, I want something I can park anywhere inconspicuously. In the summertime here, I plan on taking this van to the beaches in Southern Cal, go surfing and live out of the van for a day or two.
