Just a little heads up to anyone who has been considering buying a home from Engle. They have been struggling for sometime now but today they officially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy which is technically a restructuring.

I have no idea how this will effect any home they are currently building that are under contract but if you are currently in negotiations with them I would get on the phone and find out how they are going to be handeling current contracts. If they do it correctly no one should lose their earnest deposits, but you never know with these things.

Thanks for the info. Where did you get the information?

There are several builders I am watching to see if they are going to declare bankruptcy too. Mainly I read the azcentral paper online and go to the Register of Contractors to get current information on the builders. Channel 12 news is also a good source.

I'm guessing Google is going to get stiffed on the ad this month. Maybe we should fan the flames by clicking on it to run up the bill.
