I was looking for local groups that had the equivalent of a newsletter or internet bulletin board, but wasn't having much luck.

Wit-nit could you hit me up with that list too?

I am also a lifelong coin collector. One recent coin I really like is this high-relief gold from the US Mint. I think it's quite beautiful. The obverse, I feel she is a more modern-looking Liberty, and I guess as a modern person the aesthetics look quite beautiful to me. The reverse is a little more traditional but with excellent detail, the lovely neck detail on the bird stood out to be as well-rendered.

I collect mostly mint issues at this time due to time constraints, but in the past collected a much broader range of things. I would like to get into collecting 19th and maybe early 20th century Mexican coins because I feel it is a small enough field that it wouldn't be too overwhelming. I also would like to complete my collection of Peace dollars. I have a lot of Morgans but just like the look of the Peace dollars.
