I'm a Marketing professional in the Atlanta area and I've always wanted to live on the West coast. Based off of my research it seems that Phoenix would be my best bet compared to to other Western cities,in terms of decent cost of living, job opportunities, night life, etc.

I wanted to know how's the job market there for young professionals? Also, I read there's a very small Black population there, is it common for Blacks to experience racial tensions there or are most people relaxed when it comes to cultural differences? Any feedback you natives can share on these topics would be most helpful. Thanks in advance! :-)

I think for the most part you would be fine. Phoenix economy is better than many areas of the country, not sure about marketing jobs in particular. I got my professional career going (but it was in IT) in the Phoenix metro area. Your best bet would be to come out here and spend a few weeks before committing if you can swing it.

I work in the field, never had issues finding work. A lot of marketing here is sales based - I don't do sales so I turned down a lot of jobs. No racial issues here, should be easy to find a good job.
