Hi all,
My husband and I are looking to move to Gilbert or Chandler but we needs jobs. We are in our mid 50's, live in NW Indiana, and have had it with the winters. I am an RN currently working at an ambulatory surgery center and would like to stay in the same type of work. Any nurses out there who can steer me in the right direction. Anyone know how the job market is for nurses in these areas?
My husband works in construction as a project manager.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Tired of freezing.

Plenty of Nursing positions open. Check Banner, Dignity and Honor Health. Also...Maricopa County, VA, Adelante Health, Mayo...there are a few hospitals out here.

The construction project manager may be the tougher gig...there are some members on here with land/construction insight but it would seem if he has commercial experience there would be more opportunity than Residential.

The area around Val Vista and the 202 in Gilbert is exploding with new medical facilities, all around Mercy Gilbert Hospital.

The Area around Chandler Regional Hospital too is also full of medical offices.

Thank you! There seems to be hope. We'll be there in September so I'll spend time in those areas.

We just returned from our trip and found a plentiful medical community around Gilbert/Chandler areas. Thank you for your reply, it helped a lot.
There were many excellent properties for sale as well and we toured several of them. It was painful to return home where fall is already trying to set in, and then of course, winter. Bleh.
My husband may have a job in the wings in Tempe, so here's hoping. As soon as he takes a position, I will be able to start searching for work. Being the winter-phobe that I am, I'm trying to make this all happen before Christmas. LOL! Probably won't happen though!
Thanks for your input!

Good luck, once the snowbirds start coming down in the next few weeks there is usually a lot of hiring going around in the medical field, you shouldn't have any problems.

5 years from now the OP's name will change to "tired of burning" and they'll look to relocate to New Mexico or Colorado.

Bets? Anyone?

Wow! Has it really been 7 years since my OP? Unbelievable. Still not there. LOL! Will probably have to wait until we retire because of the job situation. Thanks for all of your viewpoints and information. I know there are jobs there for me, but my husband hasn't had any luck.

We'll keep trying though. Gluttons for punishment, I guess.

No, less than 18 months. Your original post in this thread was in March 2016. Your first post ever here was in 2010, but that was about Florida.
