It's funny how people think it is blazing hot here all year.
So true! I have a friend on the east coast whom I had to tell repeatedly that it's not 100+ degrees here all year round.

I enjoyed sitting outside after work last night as the sun was setting, feeling that hot breeze! I don't sweat much I the dry air here (yes even in monsoon season it is still dry to me), so bring it on!

Count me in as one of you desert rats. I love the heat. I'm sitting here and it's something like 110 outside right now. Time for a swim in my 87 degree pool.
Just perfection.

I typically don't go to the lakes on weekends because of the crowds but it's still going to be sizzling on Monday so you'll find me on Canyon Lake with my jet ski.

Nothing better than sizzling temps and enjoying nice cool waters and tropical breezes

Here's one of my favorite jokes that takes a swipe at both the heat and the Cardinals:

Two men from Phoenix who lived sinful lives both died and ended up in hell together. As they were walking through the corridors trying to find where they would spend their eternal lives, both of them commented about how hot it was, but how it wasn't intolerable like they had heard about. "Not much different than a typical Phoenix summer", one of them said. Satan overheard this, and cranked up the thermostat even more. At that point, both of the guys began to sweat profusely, but they immediately stripped down to their shorts and commented how it's still fairly tolerable because it's a dry heat like Arizona.

When Satan saw how acclimated the men were to the heat of hell, he became furious, and cranked down the thermostat to 30 degrees below zero. Ice was forming all over the walls, the two men couldn't stand the extreme cold, and were shivering uncontrollably. One of the guys said, "I can't believe it! Hell is actually freezing over." The other guy said, "Yes, it sure is. That means the Cardinals must have won the Super Bowl!"
