The rich ones own homes or rent nice places. The farm kids stay all over... with roomies (I had one or two in the past) and there are also sponsor families. My co-worker and his wife are huge baseball fans and rent space only to ballplayers for cheap, hoping to help a future MLB player. Maybe they'll get some World Series tickets down the road.

Many of our players from Milwaukee live in Arizona throughout the whole off-season...I can name a few off-hand that I know about...Corey Hart, Bill Hall, JJ Hardy, Eric Gagne, Derrick Turnbow. Cant speak for other teams but I would bet that teams that play in the mid-west and have thier off-season in the winter time probably have homes in Arizona and Florida so they are not forced to stay in the house all day...especially if they have Spring Training there also.

It is neat to see those fancy vehicles in a middle-class area like Surprise. I have noticed them since the stadium opened a few years ago from Feb through March. Nolan Ryan is now the Rangers Team President, and I have seen him around town.
