Default Arizona City

Can somebody give me any info. on Arizona City? My wife and I are looking to buy a house outside of Phoenix. The main things we are looking for is peace and quiet with a little bit of space, so we are looking for something with an acre or more. I see alot of houses for sale in this area at low prices. Is it that nobody is buying, or nobody wants to live there?
We are currantly living just north of Seattle Wa. and just can't make the time to come down there right now and check it out for ourselves.

If you're working in Phx, then Arizona City is really far. We almost took a look down there at the beginning of the boom and glad we didn't. We would have been lured with the prices and it would have killed us with a commute. That's why it's cheaper. It's not part of the Phx Metro area.

I moved to Arizona city for the same reason and I love being right between both major cities, and phoenix is only about 40 minutes away and is worth the time if you want peace and quiet.

I have been here six months. My husband does a commute an hour and a half each way.
He works in Buckeye. It was nice and quiet for a while, then we got bad neighbors. there was a shooting on my street the other night.

Dang, I hate to hear that, as Arizona City is one of the places I was seriously considering for peace and quiet. It was a toss up between Arizona City and Kingman.

Depending on if you you consider air force jets in your definition of peace and quiet - you can find some pretty large size plots of land with decent houses along the Waddell/Buckeye area - say 167th Ave back to around Rainbow (is it still Rainbow? I don't know Miller is Buckeye, so I'm talking East of Miller), anywhere between Cactus and I-10. Some nasty spots throughout there, but some really nice areas too. Pretty much every neighborhood is hit or miss these days, you'd need to go out and check it out yourself, and see what you're interested in.

There are plenty of areas with new homes, or established little housing areas, with nice irrigated land, decent access back into the city, and close to the White Tanks or the Estrellas if you're into mountain scenery.

Don't know your price range, but Cave Creek and Carefree would fit this bill. They are not inexpensive though so depends on your price range.

1-5 acres, lovely, sits back against mountains, wonderful little towns each with a different "feel" but right against one another.

We almost bought there. Great area. (just North of Scottsdale btw)

Seventh Son, where you look at homes depends on so many factors.
Will you have to commute?
What do you consider a fair commute time?
What amenities do you want to be close to? employment? shopping? schools? restaurants? church? sports events? concert venues?
What do you want the acreage for? horses? hobby? off-road activites?

Think about your answers to these questions and then the best thing you can do since you don't have time to visit the area right now is to hire a Realtor (buyer's agent) that can search for you specifically based on your exact specifications. The really great part of this for you is that you do not have to pay for this customized service, when you find a home the seller pays your agent. So you have the best side of this endeavor!

Good Luck to you!

I'll be moving to Arizona City in the begining of February and am looking for activities that might interest my daughters. They are 11 and 5 years old. Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Also, I'm wondering if anyone has had a pool installed recently, and how much I should expect to spend?
