Exactly 0.01 inches at Sky Harbor since monsoon season began. 15 day forecast calling for no chance of rain and temps staying at or above 110. With under 2 inches of rain for the year that is quite a concern. El Nino was a bust and so is the monsoons.

When Cochise County on over to Nogales are not getting rain...you know we are in trouble. That area averages close to 5 inches a month for July and August

Tucson had 1.39" of rain from June 15th to 30th, the 4th wettest in the last 120 years, 1.24" above normal for June 15th to 30th.

Areas south , east and north indeed got some action IN JUNE. The intense heat mid June started the precip earlier than usual last month in some areas. Sky Harbor and many parts of greater PHX did not reap the benefits...only the humidity. Would rather be in Yuma for humidity only. At least there is an awesome escape 175 miles to the west.

I just looked at the 15 day projected forecast as well, OP.

It's definitely cringe worthy.

We need some moisture.

I thought it was supposed to be wetter this year? What a drag! I was looking forward to lots of great summer storms and so far nothing. Boo!

This dry pattern that started last week is due to the big trough that's been over the PNW, it's dislodged the monsoon high from it's normal position. It's a strong one too. Snow levels in the Bitter Roots and Saw Tooth ranges dropped below 6,000 ft yesterday! From what I have been seeing, the monsoon high will come back in 7-10 days

Yeah, they are starting to see some hope for some moisture in the atmosphere by Sunday-Monday. Pretty sad though that we're just hoping for humidity in a week's time, not even necessarily any chance of actual storms.

The breaks in the monsoon are always torture especially when they happen this early and for this long, but we still have a solid two-plus months left to keep watching, waiting and hoping. Some years the monsoon hasn't even begun by now, so we just all got too hopeful with another early start to the season.

I am trying to stay optimistic and hope that things kick off in earnest in the back half of July and beyond. At some point all this powerful heat ought to pay some dividends if we can just get the right winds and high pressure locations lined up.

A) Never ever trust weather guesstimates. Ever. And B) never trust weather guesstimates. No single person on earth can accurately determine what the weather is going to be, even on a day-to-day basis, let alone months and months in advance. I always laugh at the idiots who are disappointed when their Farmer's Almanac is wrong. You hear them cry "ohhh booo, it was supposed to be a wet Spring this year and it hasnt rained much at all."

Back on the subject of monsoons, it started off good in Scottsdale this year, with 4 consecutive nights of good rainfall... then POOF! Not a drop since.
