Hello, I posted earlier as we are relocating to AZ for a job relocation but wanted to make this one about areas "west" of Phoenix that would be recommended to look into. Good school systems, safe areas, etc. Our house budget is between $300-400k. We have two teenagers as well, one in high school and the other in middle.

This is easy...the West Valley cities that you should look at are Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Surprise and certain parts of Glendale and Peoria. Buckeye isn't bad if you don't mind a more rural community and it being the furthest west valley burb. I'd avoid the rest of the West Valley in your search.

If schools are a main priority you'll find the best schools in the east valley. If you look in the Goodyear area the best schools are in the Litchfield Elementary District and Millennium High School.

The rest of the schools are just average.

I live in Goodyear and it has the highest household income of the west valley cities. I've lived here for 9+ years and love it.

Thanks for the info! We have been to Goodyear prior, however only due to the Indians spring training venue.

I've heard good things about the Verrado area as well. If you want a bit more rural...Estrella Mountain Ranch is out that way...

Just wondering--why are you looking at the West Valley in particular?
