Absolutley, Grayhawk, DC Ranch, but you'll probably only find 2000-3000 sq ft.

Saguaro Highlands is horrible, I'm so glad I left that area to DC Ranch Area, it was just so far from the highway.... depressing drive.

I really like the community near Notre Dame Prep by West World. Some of the houses have basements, which is awesome!

Lots of good neighborhoods in n. Scottsdale. They're not for everyone though - mostly the Wealthier class which excludes me!!!!!!

there are many, many houses for sale in the NE Phx, N Scotts area like the one listed above (I know this was just a typical sample)....better neighborhoods will be around $175-200/sq. ft. or so....the Town of PV will be $300 sq. ft. and easily more.....there are scattered places where the value is in the land only, with an existing house ready for "tear-down".....

most of these N Scotts places like in the link above are less than ten years old, are on small lots, are of frame construction (block is better), and look pretty nice....quality will be decent, but not incredible....

look around and make sure you're happy with the area you choose to pursue....lots of choices now

I highly recommend Kierland. That was an infill project that I've always put on a pedestal in terms of quality design and attractiveness. Kierland is regarded as north Scottsdale, but it's really still a part of Phoenix. Actually, it borders Scottsdale on the west. There is an expansion of Kierland that I understand is nearing completion across the street from Kierland (located in Scottsdale), which is going to be called Scottsdale Quarter. It replaces some of the older industrial & office space that occupied this part of Scottsdale Road.

The Apple Store and West Elm are already open - H&M follows in November. Others might be up and running, too, but those are the ones I can think of right now. It's looking pretty sweet.

AzDr said it best. He's spot-on with the price per square foot.
