Default Synthetic grass

I have real grass; however, my brother-in-law has the synthetic stuff and enjoys it for the ease of maintenance.

My wife and I even inherited his lawn mower and weed eater (since he no longer needs it)!

I must say that our backyard looks nice, but I often think about the synthetic turf when it comes to mowing and trimming....

Doesn't the quality synthetic cost around $6-$8 per SQ FT, when installed by a professional??? Just trying to do a small 200 sq ft area would cost ~$1500! And if you wanted something larger?
