IMO, spring and fall is our good season. Not too hot, not too cold, beautiful changing seasons. You do remember what changing seasons feel like, right? You know, when the roses/cherry blossoms/orchids are blooming, the first smells of fresh cut grass, etc. Or the explosion of colors in fall, with the warm days and crisp nights, the smell of burning leaves and pumpkin farms. Ahhhhh. Summer is great, but I can only take so much of it before I yearn for change. Thats why the Valley in AZ is a nightmare for me, no change (except for a few days/weeks of blooming cactus flowers). But some love it, some loathe it. I just get a kick out of the "its super hot, BUT..." crowd. Hot is hot, and AZ is the king of hellish heat. Chicago is cold in winter, yet noone here denies that.

Just making a comparison, same as you were. Does this ring a bell? "Well I would hope so, that's your "good" season."
Back on topic, what gets more overblown regarding Phoenix? Id say the whole crime thing. Every major city has problem areas, PHX is no different than Atlanta which is no different from Detroit which is no different than Denver.

Yes, agree with Patrick 754!
The references to staying away from Phoenix because it is so hot?
It is the Sonoran Desert - of course it's HOT!

Yeah that's why I don't get the heat issue.. you should know it's going go be extremely hot, otherwise you really lack the smarts to get out of bed in the morning..
