Our builder is Richmond American and you can check out their web site with prices and developments in the area. RA is currently building in Surprise Farms, not to mention within other developments in the valley. Trend is another builder that you can check their site. If you type Trend homes Arizona you can find them and see what they have to offer. I am thinking that most of the builders have this information on their site. I can tell you that your price range fits with many builders in Surprise. I know that RA has many models available at that range. The home we are buying now has a base price of $169,990. Best builder is a loaded question as they offer things that may be different. One builder may be best for you over others because of the value that you personally gain from the transaction. You can check the JD Power web site and check this out. If you search the Phoenix threads you will see similar questions and answers on this.

We went down to look at Encanterra by Shea Homes yesterday. It has some fantastic homes and the golf course is one of the largest I have seen. On our way back we noticed many signs around Maricopa and Queen Creek for homes as low as $90,000. Many of them started around $120K. In spite of the decline in prices, both cities had many larger commercial projects underway, including a new Home Depot/ Walmart center in Maricopa.
