Well-written.

The reason for the obesity is people are feeding them bread which is high in carbohydrates but has little nutritional value.

Bread is empty calories which translates to junk food. Probably the reason for the duck charging at you was a demand for more empty calories for a quick hunger satisfaction.

I have a lake near my house, and they dive bomb and invade in waves, and leave there "deposits" all over the park area..and yes, they do not fear people at all..
When you see a divebombing waterbird it's best to duck, otherwise you might be goosed.

A bird attack can result in the victim using plenty of fowl language.
